Import and duties
Are there import fees?
Nobody likes a surprise charge at the door. Here is exactly what you pay, and do not pay, when a Kuycon monitor is delivered.
DDP or DAP, your choice
Kuycon charges no tax on its prices. At checkout, including within the European Union, you choose between two options: DDP, where customs duties and import VAT are prepaid with the shipping, so nothing is due on delivery; or DAP, where the carrier collects them from you on delivery. Kuycon does not charge VAT, so our invoices carry no recoverable VAT. However, if DAP delivery is offered for your country, you pay the import VAT and duties yourself on delivery; depending on your country's rules (for example for a VAT-registered business), this import VAT may be recoverable. Please check with your tax authority or accountant.
With DDP, the total shown at checkout is the total you pay: no separate customs bill and nothing handed over to the courier at the door. With DAP, import VAT and duties are paid to the carrier on delivery.
Outside the EU too
Outside the EU too, the same choice applies where your country allows it: with DDP, duties and taxes are prepaid; with DAP, they are collected on delivery by the carrier, according to the rules of your country. Some countries, such as Switzerland, are DAP only.
Shipping itself is calculated from your delivery address and shown in full before payment, so the cost is clear up front.
Same pricing promise
Every Kuycon monitor can be shipped DDP or DAP, depending on your country and your choice at checkout.

The same DDP or DAP choice applies, depending on your country: with DDP everything is prepaid, with DAP local duties and taxes are collected by the carrier.
